9/366: Better than the weather channel

If you want to know what the weather is, my animals are more accurate and dependable than the local weather. I can always tell if it's unpleasant weather by the fact that my dog not only won't come out from under his blanket, but he won't make eye contact with me because he doesn't want to go out :)  My cat spent most of this chilly, wet day on her blanket on the couch.

8/366: By the Light of the Full Moon

This was tricky. It's darker than the picture shows (it was taken around midnight), because this is a 30 second exposure. I had to use the Brinkmann spot to shine on the trees so I could get them in focus. Turned out almost like I was hoping :)

My new "RooCase" was delivered today. I had a Belkin case to start off with but it was pretty shoddy. This one is much better, fits perfect, very sturdy, and PINK :)  I'm so relieved to finally have a good case to protect my Tab.

5/366: Coffee Girls

Every Thursday while school is in session, it's all about the donuts. Well, for me anyway, because that's what I always bring to "Coffee Girls". A good friend graciously opens her home to us to meet, eat, and have some "adult" conversation. 

Today we played a game called "Boxers or Briefs" - lots of fun and a lot of laughing. We all look forward to Thursdays :)

4/366: Improvise

I was craving some peanut butter kiss cookies, but had no kisses. (they don't last long at ALL in this house)

I did have this though...necessity is a mother too ;-) 

3/366: New Gadgets

A post-Christmas surprise from my dear hubby. We had looked at the ipad, but I am so glad he surprised me with the Galaxy Tab instead. After reading the reviews and doing a side-by-side of the two, the tab blows the ipad out of the water. Love it, and love him <3

And Now We Wait

The offer is in, now we wait for acceptance or counter. My gut tells me they will counter, we didn't go unreasonably low, but you can't go down from your starting point - so it's always best to start lower. 

House Hunting

we've been hard at it. I hate house hunting. I like house finding. Today, we may have found The One. We shall see :)

checked in with Mama Bird this afternoon, she kept a wary eye on me as I slowly crept closer to her with my camera...

 once I got too close for her comfort, she repaired to the neighbor's fence, still watching me...

 She has been busy, now we have four eggs to watch!

Spring Surprise

Found this as I was going up the back steps to the deck this evening. I was shocked to see it so vulnerable - although you really can't see it at all until you're halfway up the stairs. I'm hoping we will be able to have a "bird's eye view" for the whole cycle :)
